The company's technology originated in the laboratory of Salvatore Torquato, the Lewis Bernard Professor of Natural Sciences, and professor of chemistry and the Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials. CEO Adam Hopkins earned his Ph.D. working with Torquato in the Princeton Department of Chemistry.
