PolyGone Systems awarded NOAA Sea Grant to develop microplastics filtration device

 PolyGone Systems, a company with roots in Princeton University research, has been awarded a $1.9 million grant from the National Sea Grant Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Marine Debris Challenge Competition. The company, founded by two graduates of Princeton's School of Architecture, participated in a Princeton-led entrepreneurial training program, the National Science Foundation-funded I-Corps Northeast Hub

The team will use the funds to optimize, manufacture and deploy full-scale pilots of their filtration device that removes microplastics from water.
