Alison Coakley joins the Office of Innovation

Alison Coakley, business manager for the Princeton Materials Institute (PMI), has been appointed assistant director for finance and grant administration in the University’s Office of Innovation.

In her new role, which became effective Nov. 11, she reports to Coleen Burrus, executive director of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement, one of the units of the Office of Innovation.

Coakley joined Princeton in 2019 as grants manager at PMI. She was promoted to business manager in March 2023.

Previously, she worked as an executive assistant and grants manager at MJH Life Sciences, as a medical administrative assistant at Allied Digestive Health and as an operations manager at Staples.

She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and project management from DeVry University.
