Celebrate Princeton Innovation, the University’s annual salute to faculty and other researchers who are patenting their discoveries, creating start-up companies or exploring other ventures, will be held on campus Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Office of Innovation will host the event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Frick chemistry building atrium. Attendees will be able to meet faculty inventors and representatives of innovative research programs who will discuss and demonstrate their work.

Craig Arnold, the University innovation officer and vice dean for innovation, will serve as master of ceremonies at a brief program beginning at 5:30 p.m. Speakers include Princeton President Christopher Eisgruber and Meredith Prysak, director of product development and project management at Orthobond, a Princeton spin-out company.

Arnold will present the annual Tiger Entrepreneur Award, which recognizes an undergraduate student, graduate student, early-career alumni or postdoctoral researcher or team for entrepreneurial achievement.

The event, which got its start as Celebrate Princeton Invention in 2012, is attended by Princeton faculty, staff, researchers and postdocs, plus representatives of state and area governments, industries and non-profit organizations.

Members of the public are welcome. Registration is required. There is no charge.
