Akin is the Director of Ecosystem Development at HAX New Jersey, where he is responsible for establishing, nurturing, and growing key stakeholder relationships within the private and public sectors, as well as supporting, mentoring, and guiding HAX’s portfolio of hardtech startups through the complex startup ecosystem.

Prior to joining HAX, Akin worked with organizations in the healthcare and technology space as an organizational and development leader, assisting them in improving the efficiency of their processes, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving overall business growth. Akin is a natural entrepreneur who has founded and successfully sold companies in the healthcare education, real estate, home healthcare, and ATM space.

Akin holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Leadership and Organization Development. Akin was born in Maryland but spent most of his early childhood years in Nigeria and 20+ years in Wisconsin. He has an absolute passion for cooking and loves to ski and fish. He now resides in New Jersey with his wife, son, and dog.
